We'd like to
introduce ourselves. We are Gary and Regina Minser of Marion Center PA. We have been together for 35 years. Regina has
been sewing and quilting for 40 years and has been longarming for eight
years. Gary has been involved in longarming as a personal manager and
electronic repairman on Regina's machine.Regina has worked in sewing factories having learned the words piece work and speed. She also worked at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a costume studio supervisor for 9 years. There she taught college theater students costume making and sewing skills.
When Regina got her Gammil Plus Machine in 2002, she started doing customers quilts in two months. Many have been repeat customers and many customers come by referral. During that time, she was always looking for better and faster ways of setting up the leaders. Pins made her fingers bleed and hand held chain stitches had a short life span. After looking at the leaders and seeing a casing a "light bulb" moment. Slipping rod inside and developing a grip to hold the fabric. Gary was instrumental in developing the idea. This started the Leader Grips system of setting up the leaders. There is a one time installation of the dowel rods in the casing. After that it is easy on - easy off the Leader Grips.
